Cruisin' for Courtney 2009
On a cold and windy May 17 people from all around the area came out and joined together to support a wonderful cause. Cruisin' for Courtney celebrates the life and the battle of Courtney Rummel. Courtney died of a rare form of cancer in May of 2006, the day of the very first benefit crusie-in.
This year CFC benefited three wonderful causes: The Courtney Rummel Foundation, Birthright, and Heather Miller. Heather is battling a very rare form of childhood cancer. Total Kaos with a huge showing of 43 cars presented a donation of $210 to a smiling Heather Miller. Our family saw that this little girl was still happy even though she is battling this form of cancer. Her determination is one of a kind especially for a girl her age. This show was a very fun show for a very good cause.
To the person parking the cars around 11AM. Your immaturity you demonstrated not only reflects a bad image on you but also on the show you assist with. Luckily everyone else was helpful and assisted us with whatever we needed. As a professional you leave your personal problems behind you and not take them with you. I really hope you have trouble sleeping knowing that you almost sent home a club that made a large donation (half of your 50/50). You sir need to check your attitude at the door and show the professionality and decorum that others at that show showed us.
